About Me

The Burkhardts: Newburgh, Indiana, United States; I(Tom) am 35 years of age and my wife is 36. Karla and I have been married for 11 years and have been parents for 6 years with Kieran. After a tough pregnancy, Karla and I decided to adopt. We had a neighbor in Newburgh, who adopted internationally, so we looked into it and it seemed the right thing for us. So after 2 1/2 years it seems the day is finally about to arrive.

We Leave for China Soon

Hey Friends,

It is finally here. Karla, Kieran and I have been waiting for approximately 2 1/2 years and we leave for China tomorrow morning. Kieran becomes a big brother and we become parents of 2 great children. It is very surreal, but we will be bringing Amelie home soon. I have pictures of our family and our new little girl. I hope you enjoy them and please feel free to keep in touch.
